"Fish" cans are made from about 60% of the ingredients, and "Niku" cans are made from about 25% of the discarded ingredients.
Chihiro Miyoshi, who runs a nail salon in Kurashiki, planned Konohitokan.

In fact, Konohitokan was created from the beginning not only to reduce food loss but also to solve a certain social problem. In December, Miyoshi visited Mitsu High School in Okayama City with canned food.
At this school, volunteer groups serve free meals once a week for students with various circumstances such as being unable to eat lunch.
Another purpose of Konohitokan is to help children suffering from poverty.
All the canned foods we make are distributed to children's cafeterias and orphanages, and the costs are covered by donations from support companies.
