On October 1, 2021, Maruhiro, which plans and sells Hasami -yaki's tableware and interior goods in Hasami -cho, Nagasaki Prefecture, opened a complex "HIROPPA", which consists of stores, cafes and parks, in the town.The comprehensive plan for the facility was designed by Daisuke Motoki, who led the architectural and design office DDAA.

The project started with Maruhiro's desire to gather and create a bustling place in the town where porcelain making has been actively held since the Edo period.The company said it was looking for a park -like park where children in the town would want to play.

Most of the south side of a deformed fan -type flat site was allocated to the square, and a hill -like ridgeline was created by filling the soil so that the slope drops toward the southeast corner of the site.In the most dusty corner, the discarded Hasamiyaki was crushed in a sandy, laying a sandy beach, and the remaining site was covered with a lawn.

In addition, a two -layer pergola is installed on the southwest side of the site, like a high -floor building.It does not have a wall with pillars, beams, and girders, and is an intermediate space that cannot be defined in both inside or outside, but is a theme that features an open "Hiropa".
