Indian local media MoneyControl quoted sources as saying that GlobalBees, the launch of e-commerce in India, is in negotiations on the $100m round of financing led by Softbank Corp.. Softbank Corp. has reportedly promised to implement the funding on convertible notebooks, which will be assessed at a market capitalization of $500m or so a year or so in advance.

GlobalBees's business model is called rollout. Small and medium-sized enterprises can also launch brands and grow to a certain scale, but to make them grow further, they need capital, technical expertise, digital marketing capabilities, operational suggestions and so on. In the US, startups such as Thrasio, Perch and Elevate Brands are growing rapidly in the same way.

GlobalBees is derived from the personal care brand FirstCry (which is also funded by Softbank Corp.). It was only five months old, but Series A raised $150 million in July. Previously, fast-growing online brands such as Amazon, Flipkart and Nykaa have been acquired in categories such as beauty, food, nutrition, sports and lifestyle.

Last month, GlobalBees acquired andMe, a health food brand for women, and The Better Home, which sells washing liquids, edible fluids and detergents. In addition to negotiations to buy OneFitPlus, which sells smart treadmills (treadmills) for about $40 million, negotiations are under way to acquire 15 brands.

In recent months, about 10 roll-out e-commerce launches have been launched in India, raising more than $300m from top investors such as Tiger Global, SoftBank and Accel.
